Jeremy Powers’ Rapha-Focus cyclocross team is asking for help after losing a number of frames and wheels in a break-in over the weekend.

Thieves broke into the team’s sprinter van and made off with 12 Mares frames painted in the U.S. national champion’s custom lay-up, as well as 37 Easton wheels. The theft occurred between 6:30 p.m. on Saturday August 11 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday August 12.

SRAM Neutral Race Support Bikes Stolen

Thieves took eight bikes that are used in SRAM’s 2X10 mountain bike demo program. In an act particularly despicable to this editor, the criminals also stole the toolbox of one of SRAM’s mechanics.

Please be on the lookout for the following bikes:

Ibis Mojo SL, small, white, X0 components
Ibis Mojo SL, large, carbon, X0 components
Intense Tracer 29, large, silver, X7 components
Intense Tracer 29, medium, green, X0 components
Niner EMD Hardtail, medium, silver, X0 components
Specialized Enduro, large, brown, X0 components
Specialized Stumpy 29 Hardtail, large, white/red, X0 components
Turner Flux , small, red, XX components

Also keep your eyes peeled for a Platt 8-inch toolbox with wing pallets and cork lined dividers in bottom. There are no stickers on the outside.

Stolen from Parking Garage at DTC

The following bike has been stolen (Friday September 23) from the parking garage at DTC. It is as you see in the picture, except with a black fork with a bit of rake (bend), a new red chain, and a leather tool bag hanging from the saddle.

Stolen Tandem from Fort Collins

CO-Motion Cycles, Speedster Co-Pilot. Silver frame with white lettering. The frame has couplers to take apart for travelling.

Was stolen on Saturday, 10/1/11 around 4:30 PM in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Stolen Bike in the Denver/Boulder Area

I’m sure you are incredibly busy with the Swap coming up, but I hope you won’t mind taking a quick moment for this. Just this week my road bike was cut and jacked from my home in Englewood, and I’m hearing horror stories about bike thief syndicates that load up on stolen bikes and trek them to swaps.

This one is close to home, so the chances of it ending up there are pretty good. Is there any way for you to help me keep a look-out? I’ll do my best to attend event and scope it out, but lord knows how big this thing is, not to mention my inability to be there 24/7. Maybe you already have a method for such things, like a list of stolenbicycleregistry.com or something?? I would really appreciate your help!
